Fyure Fey - The Fair Folk of Klida By Koraki S. Kanosis

Introduction

Long been an ally of Aldaria, the fyure fey of Klida, are a strong resourceful people bouncing back from the near destruction of their country. The fyure fey are the top exporters of fireworks on the continent of Eldurina. The current queen is Lidie K. Feidir.

Naming Traditions

Feminine names

When it comes to any first name in the fyure fey peoples, mothers often chose one which ignites a sense of who they want the child to be. For girls this often reflect their expected role as both household manager and as leaders. Here are some of the more popular names:

• Lidie : Noble
• Katha: Pure 
• Biltrud : shine with power
• Sighild: Independent
• In Klida it is not common to have a middle name. Lidie was a common first name already among the queen's people but at birth her given name was Katha. That said I shall stay on task lest Mika Tsuki scold me again for writing the name sections too long.

The royal family line name is Feidir. The fyure fey speak their own language of Klidinian but it is not uncommon for them to speak Aldarian. There are a few of the noble class who speak greek as well which is not to dissimilar to modern Aldarian.

Beauty Ideals

While the fey would have you believe they do not value beauty they put a great deal of work and care into their own appearance. Some of this is warranted as unlike the fyure alfin(as they are called in klida) or fire elves as most commonly call them, the fyure fey are fair skinned. Proper skin care in warm sunny months prevents them from burning.  The fyure fey wear clothing designed to show off their gorgeous butterfly shaped feathered wings.
