Octocoral

These bright orange plants tend to grow near the water and on rocky surfaces. At first glance they seem rather appealing and harmless. In fact they are sometimes sought after for their appearance and bright coloring. However, one must be careful around a live plant as they are a little more alive than most other plants. While they will get water and nutrients from the soil they are in, because they grow in rocky terrain, their main source of food is usually elsewhere. They'll often try to attract small animals to them with a type of fragrance. The smell will vary slightly depending on the location, but the effects always remain the same; enticement to go to it. Get close enough to smell it and you'll likely be charmed into touching it, likely immediately regretting the decision. While not always lethal to humanoids, one would do well to not take that risk as even a single touch could potentially kill you. The fast acting toxins will almost always kill whoever even just brushes it's branches/leaves.
It's advised you stear clear of these plants. Thankfully they cannot move from where they are rooted; so not getting close to one is relatively easy.
