Lava Dripper

These floating maws are quite the enigma for most researchers. Because it's so difficult to simply go study them in their natural habitat, not a whole lot is known about them.
They don't seem to have a body exactly. They have a mouth with sharp molten fangs to eat lava and other hot rocks from the ground and that's it. It is unclear where the material goes after they chew and eat the rocks. Though it's speculated that maybe they don't actually consume rocks, they simply melt them down to add to their molten teeth that drip fairly often of molten rock.
Otherwise these creatures don't seem to care about much. They eat, and don't seem to be hostile or territorial. They run away from most other creatures that come close to them. If pushed into a corner they might fight back, but very few creatures ever go after them; likely because of the lack of any possible kind of nutrition/meat they have.
If you ever encounter this creature, take some caution, but otherwise shouldn't pose a threat.
