Flying Maple

Living closer towards the slightly mountainous area of Sofmyre Forest, these little creatures live and try to camouflage themselves in the trees. They aren't hostile towards other creatures, they tend to only eat the sap that comes off the trees they live in. Particularly active in Autumn, this is also the time when they mate and lay eggs. The eggs are sometimes hunted or sought after for their sweet flavoring. However, the Flying Maples don't build nests, they carry their eggs with them as they fly and travel around. They'll carry them on their backs, using the sap from the trees they eat to stick them there so they don't get knocked off or fly off. So trying to catch one these creatures can sometimes prove difficult as they hide very well in their own habitat.
