Chapter 1.0 Shipment at Afmyre - What Really Happened

General Summary

While Fulcrum and Branwen were already aquainted, Del had never met the two before this mission. They were put together as a group so they could be trained all at once far various things.   Branwen and Fulcrum were called to go to to the Silverleaf Army's main public building to receive details about their first mission. They got to the building, and Branwen was fairly amazed that the roof didn't have any holes in it. They went to the room they were told to go to and met Lyth Hoster, an Office in the Silverleaf Army that's overseeing this group for now. This is also where they met Del for the first time, and Branwen was surprised about him coming out of of his Saux Stone. While attunment was happening, Fulcrum looked at his hand and seemed to maybe have a mini existential crisis, but he didn't let that show on his face. He was told he needs to supply Del's Saux stone with little reaces of his magic so that Del can get used to it and be attuned to him. Branwen had no trouble becoming Del's co-owner. They were then briefed about the mission and wha they need to do. Lyth then gave them 10 GC as a forward payment to help with supplies and a couple of papers for a grant for a Bag of Money Absorption and a discout on their first healing potion. She started to leave before Branwen had a brain fart and asked which exit from Sofmyre they should take when they leave. Lyth, worried for a second, told her which exit is best and finally left.   They got aquainted a little bit more outside, Del got permission to come in and out of his Saux Stone as he pleases, and they left for the Shining Goods guild. They stopped a hidden and small cat sanctuary where Fulcrum was surrounded by cats, Branwen named him cat king by putting cats on him, and Del almost lost his shit from simply petting a cat. He kept his cool though and was able to pet a single cat. The party feeling genrally satisfied by this encounter, left again for the Shining Goods Guild and arrived shortly after.   They entered and tried to buy some medical supplies (healing potion) and thought that 10 GC was enough. After some confusion, Branwen handed over some paperwork to the counter man and gave them a discount. They bought a lesser healing potion for 5 GC. Then they headed towards the bank because Branwen remembered the sign when they first came in. They met Tave Nutra, and after handing him the same paperwork, they got a Bag of Money Absorption plus a new bank account.   They finally left and got to Afmyre without much trouble, talking about cinnamon rolls and good/small beans along the way. Getting close, they started hearing some buzzing and Del came out of his Saux Stone. They wanted a closer look at the situation so Fulcrum and Branwen decided to try sneaking closer and got behind a big tree. Del also wanted to sneak closer, unfortuntely he decided to do this in the open and was spotted almost immediately by the Buzz Bloods. A battle ensued, and they dispatched the monsters pretty quickly. They started investigating the area and found a dead body (dead by Buzz Blood) and found out there were sigils on the front door. After some thinking and logicalling, they figured out those were warding sigils to keep things out. Some scouting inside the building was made to find Low Spirits, and then they started searching the other buildings in the area.   The first was the small resting shack. They went in, Branwen looking for some door mats, and found that candles were still lit inside. They went into a northern room and found a not-at-all suspicious chest. After some fuckin' around about the chest, Branwen said "fuck it" and opened it. It was fine, no one was hurt. They went to the southern room and found a Low Spirit. Branwen got annoyed and told Fulcrum to "move for magic missile" and quickly killed it after Fulcrum did just that. They found a glowing glass orb with a Bank Stone inside. After more fuckin' around, Del suggested to simply pass a small amount of magic energy into it, and it disabled the magice around the orb. THey grabbed the now available Bank Stone and moved on.   The next building was the blue ward building. Fulcrum went inside and looked around. Weary of everything, the party took their time to try and figure the room out. After a few ideas and attempts made, they finally managed to shut down the blue ward. They moved on to the last shack and almost immediately figured out this room, and quickly shut down the red ward.   They went back to the main tower and hatched a plan. Fulcrum went at the back window and tapped on the glass to get the attention on the Low Spirits. Once that was done, Del learned from his past mistakes and snuck in fairly well, dealing a deadly blow to the first Low Spirit. Then a fire inside Fulcrum was lit up as he decided to crash through the fuckin' window and almost face planted onto the ground. Despite this, he managed to shoot the other Low Spirit with his crossbow, which made Del able to come up and finish it off. Branwen finally decided to join the fight, but realized there was no more fight to be had.   The party headed upstairs, found a lightning bomb, and moved upstairs some more. Branwen ran for the chest inthe attic, but was suddenly stopped by a Clear Slime. After a few close calls for Branwen, they managed to kill the monster and all survive. They found some money and a key to the basement.   They went to the basement and found the Bank Feeder that was lurking near the Bank Stones and the rest of the shipments they were tasked to find. Everything got really cramped as the Bank Feeder attacked them when Del got close enough. Fulcrum did some blood voodoo shit, Del threw a knife, and Branwen got scared, ducked an face smoke attack and sent electricity through the Bank Feeder's face, defeating the monster. After some inspections, they determined this is what they were looking for and went back to Sofmyre with the goods. Fulcrum having to carry the barrel of bank stones, slowed the party down a bit, and they arrived during the night. They decided to call it a day, and turn in their mission the next day.
