Fra's Last Years

This article describes the first contact between the teyans and the dragnarians. This took place after the Founding Journeys, which where performed by Fra-Leq-Kan and his family, and play an important role in his journeys.

Teyanische Länder

The Green Land

During the founding journeys, which lasted almost 20 years, the Leq tribe was searching for new undiscovered oases. For this they traveled far to the north, and even left Kohel far behind. They discovered a new land there. The ground was covered with green plants and, contrary to the desert, it was teeming with wildlife. They called it Jatee - the green land.
They explored this land, going north even further, and build a settlement with a big shrine at the most fertile place they could find. This settlement grew into a city and became Bodh Thalve - the temple of living springs.

The Dragnarians

During their explorations the teyans found a settlement of an unknown race. Those were the dragnarians, who travel across Lygea to search for new peoples to trade with.
Both races where very curious about each other, but they spoke different languages. So the teyan pilgrims where brought to Peimador and Pastepa, two dragnarian ancients. When these spoke, the teyans recognized the ancient language Voxciel, and sent one of their own to Bodh Thalve to fetch Fra. He spoke some Voxciel, and could communicate with the dragnarian ancients at least on a basic level.
Those three exchanged their intentions and quickly became friends. The dragnarians told stories about their discovery of finnindor, and Fra told them about the teyan desert, their settlements, and Bodh Saxur.

The Tribe Seperates

Unfortunately Fra had to tell his new friends, that his people couldn't offer them anything worth trading. But he also told them they might find some teyan ancients there, who'd probably like to exchange goods with them. Fra drew them a map, which shows a way to the city through the desert, but the dragnarians where afraid to take a path through these dry lands. They tried to explain that the heat and lack of water would mean their deaths. So Fra told them about the river Niive, around whose source the temple city was build.
The dragnarian ship was too large to sail rivers, but they still wanted to try. They even offered to take the teyans along.
Fra considered this a new experience and offered to guide them. Some members of his tribe were against his decision, others came with him, his first followers and their families among them.
So the Leq tribe seperated. One half continued pilgrimming through the desert, searching for more oases, building wells, settlements, and shrines, fulfilling Fra's old wishes. The other half boarded the dragnarian ship.

Teyans on Ships

They quickly discovered that teyans were not made for sea travel. They got seasick and they're senses were in confusion. Fra too, became sick, and his tribe became very concerned. Still he didn't want them to pause the journey, but rather continue to the Faw oasis.
When they arrived there, the dragnarians planned a short stay. The voyage to Faw took longer than expected, because the teyans had to take a lot of breaks on land to recover their senses. The sailors wanted to journey back home, because supplies were running low, and they didn't have enough materials to build a proper harbor in Faw.
The teyans kept busy with caring for their chieftain, whose condition sadly didn't show any signs of improvement. After a few days Fra-Leq-Kan died. Hes was mourned by his tribe as well as his dragnarian friends.
At first glance:
Fra-Leq-Kan's tribe was the first to leave the large desert Frades to pilgrim far to the north. There they discovered a dragnarian settlement, whose inhabitants welcomed them. A few members of the Leq tribe joined the dragnarians. However, on a voyage to Bodh Saxur Fra-Leq-Kan died.
