Vulsha, also known as spiritkin or foxfolk, are an uncommon descendent of edér upon Luxilice. They are born with an innate and deep sense of wanderlust and many of them dedicate themselves to exploring. A vulsha’s idea of exploration can come in many forms, from the physical exploration of land, to the exploration of a field of study. No matter the vulsha however, there is something that they are seeking out of life, and they are driven to find it.
Characteristics
Physical appearance
Vulsha are humanoids that exhibit slightly more fox-like features and they range from about 5-6 feet in height and weigh about 120 lbs. Their ears are fluffy and pointed upon their heads and their pupils resemble that of a canine’s. Their teeth are also slightly different, while Vulsha are omnivores, their canines and other teeth are slightly more pointed then most humanoids.
From their waist, Vulsha have a single fox-like tail that usually grows to be shorter than their legs, the tip ending just at their ankles. The fur covering their ears and tail is typically the same as their hair colour, but very rare circumstances can lead to a difference in colour.
Natural Capabilities
Vulsha are well known for their ability to take on the appearance of a fox-like creature. This echo-driven magic is something that all vulsha are innately capable of performing from the time they are around 10.
Whilst very similar to the species of fox that their individual ethnic group resembles, there are many key details that a keen observer can use to discover their true identity. These can range from ear shapes and lengths, tail lengths, fur colouration, and many more small details.
Society and Culture
Vulsha can be found living across Luxilice and while originally from the island of Aine'sha, they have since spread out to every known continent in the world. This is mainly thanks to the vulshan's wandering spirit. Many vulsha form caravan communities with like-minded travellers, which have gained a reputation over time as being one of the safest ways to travel.
Vulsha in these caravans tend to take on a variety of occupations, some work as entertainers, while others work as craftsmen and traders. Each caravan is often said to contain a unique culture of its own, with no two caravans having quite the same beliefs or traditions.
Not all vulsha live within travelling caravans, however. Many vulsha happily live in their homeland of Aine'sha, while others have taken up residence around Luxilice, integrating into local cultures and societies.
