Ivarus

Ivarus also known as The Judge, is a deity of law and civilisation.

Appearance

Ivarus is often depicted as an elvish man with grey hair and piercing blue eyes that resemble the burn of echo. His skin is said to resemble porcelain and he is often said to be mute.

Commandments

  • Justice is to be rendered in accordance to the law, it is no place for personal opinion.
  • Law is the driving force of society, without it, all would fall to chaos.
  • Seek the aid and community of others. The capabilities of a community far outweigh those of an individual.

Worship

Ivarus is a god that is worshiped in lands that are either civilised or in the process of becoming civilised. Worshippers of Ivarus often tend to be lawmakers and judges, calling upon the god's ideals to make judgements for the benefit and safety of society.   Ivarus' depiction as a mute god has formed the idea in those that worship him that the law is something that should be dispensed without personal opinion. It is not the job of judges to give their opinions on the law, but instead for them to dispense their verdicts in the most simple of ways. Judges that follow Ivarus will often decree their verdicts through the use of a thumbs up or a thumbs down instead of verbally decreeing the guiltiness of the perpetrator.
