Echo is the natural energy that flows throughout Luxilice. The world has been shaped by its existence from the beginning and it is the source of all magic that exists.
The Aether
All of the echo upon Luxilice flows in through a realm known as the Aether. The Aether is a realm of echo in its purest form, completely untouched by the physical reality of Luxilice and beyond. It is here where the gods reside, powerful beings of conglomerated echo that has formed sentient wills. It is unknown by what process gods are born, even the gods themselves are unaware, but it is theorised by many scholars, both godly and mortal, to be the work of the sentient force of the echo,
Causaltis.
Nodes
Nodes are a type of hole in reality that are responsible for the influx of echo into Luxilice. Usually invisible to the naked eye, these holes allow echo from the Aether to enter Luxilice where it then gathers into the Lei. Some of the energy from these nodes is known to escape creating regions of highly concentrated echo around them.
Lei
The Lei is the channel or river of energy that flows throughout Luxilice, blanketing the world. It moves echo throughout Luxilice, allowing it to escape in varying amounts. Most of the time this process is invisible, but sometimes it manifests in a number of different magically charged weather events. The most common of these events is known as Manaralis, wherein rain will carry echo from the Lei to the surface. Manaralis is described as blue rain that glows faintly as it falls from the sky. The rarest and most dangerous of these weather events is that of Animstrom. Animstrom happens when the flow of echo is too much and it must escape quickly, when this happens it is a natural disaster in which a storm of great magnitude is formed, enhanced by the powerful energy of the raw echo roiling inside of it.
Burn
Burn is a natural process of the echo wherein it returns to the Aether. The process is usually invisible and involves the echo "burning" off its impurities and aspects before fading into the Aether. In vast amounts, burn is visible as vibrant blue embers and ash.
