Disonis

Disonis, also known The Reveller, The Drunken Madness, and The Wine Lord, is a deity of alcohol, drunken revelry, rebirth, and insanity.

Appearance

Disonis is most often depicted as a horned individual with shaggy hair, purple eyes, and wearing long robes. Often he has what appears to be grape vines growing around his person and clothing, coiling around his horns and body.

Commandments

Cultivate the land and protect its cultivators, for from what else does the wine flow?

Revel in freedom and ignore the expectations placed upon you.

Respect the mad among you, for they are truly the freest of us all.

Worship

The Cult of Disonis is quite different then most religions. Due to their relative worship of freedom, they are not a strict group with particular practices and rituals. Instead, their main worship comes in the form of a drunken parties that take place to free downtrodden folk of their social expectations, providing a location for people to be as free as they wish. To an extent the insanity of drunkenness is seen as a possession by the spirit of Disonis, so these drunken parties are said to bring his worshippers closer to the divine.
