Toren
"To speak with the world, we needed a voice. Technology could only get us so far. In addition to a mechanical larynx, the greater stellar community demanded we learn sounds with which to communicate. And so, as the greatest minds of the time came together, a new language was born."
-Toreni Historian
Geographical Distribution

Phonology
Vowels have both long and short versions, for example: e and ee. Toren also has nasalized versions of every vowel sound. Consonants tend to be quick and sharp, and the language in general sounds similar to Scandinavian languages on Earth.
Morphology
Verbs have three forms, strong, weak, and present. Strong verbs tend to denote future-tense, and weak tends to denote past-tense, though strong verbs are also used for emphasis and weak for insignificance. Nouns also have prefixes to denote possession. The prefix is the name of the noun owning the other noun, with the end cut off after the last vowel. For example Ain's ball would be Ai-knota. The dog's bone would be bikke-bein.
Syntax
The syntax of Toren is similar to english, with adjectives placed before nouns and verbs placed after nouns.
