Utility

The SMAS suit itself is merely a powered, skin-tight, flexible suit with various anchor points for SMAS-compatible hardware. As a base, the suit provides increased strength, durability, and speed, though only moderate. It also conforms to the user's body and is filled with crash-gel, making impacts less effective. Finally, it automatically seals when punctured.

Access & Availability

Nowadays, only the lowest of the low are unable to wear SMAS suits. Most soldiers are given training on how to operate the SMAS suit, and it is generally accepted as the default loadout.

Discovery

Shortly after defeat of the Affliction, the Sumoli military was downsized a bit. No longer could they afford to craft bespoke suits of armor for their combatants, and as such, a cheaper alternative was devised so that the military could afford to fit more combatants with armor of similar quality. As such, the Spearhead Modular Armor System was born.
