Bellriven
"If someone says, 'There's no such place as nowhere' point them in the direction of Bellriven" - Daya BelmontWith a local populace of Bellriven live in the only official settlement on the island of Farmire, the swampy landscape of this hardly noticeable island has turned many from settling any farther than the northern shore. The local Steall, Hroggenn Half-Blood is a half-orc who has ruled the territory for as long as anyone can remember. Heavy mist covers the island and in particular the village of Bellriven.
Government
The local Steall generally leaves folk alone to their own devices while the factions try to exert their own levels of influence in the town.
Defences
There is no official guard but the many people who end up in Bellriven protect it as their own. A easy task as despite there being no walls, there are no local threats on the north side of the island.
Infrastructure
Once an exporting port for valuable Electra found on the island, after the mine dried up the once bustling town became a shadow of its former self. Now the few that come here trade for fish and herbs found in the swamps on the islands or to hide from something on the continent.
Assets
The Misty Maiden inn is the only major store or tavern since the local fishing company went out of business. Now the people wallow their lives away under the thick mist where none can see them.
Guilds and Factions
A surprising number of faction branches have found themselves in Bellriven, these are the Blackmark Smugglers, Luthic's Hunters, the Satosian Order, and Yellow-Hide Mercenary Company. The Blackmark Smugglers had their refuge somewhere in the swamps around the town, the Luthic's Hunters travel the whole island and always return to Bellriven, the Satosian Order camp out in a small house turned into a shrine to Satos, and the Yellow-Hide Mercenary Company often stay in the Misty Maiden inn.
Tourism
Many have gone to the village for one reason or another, but few have anything remarkable to say about their visits, only that is was "simple and pleasant". Before the mine dried up the locals built the Temple of The First to honor The Source and those that would come to live here later built the Temples of Tempest, Law, and War. Each have a High Priest that directs the few acolytes found in each. At he town center are shrines to Melora, Anatus, Patus, and Bahamut position around a fountain in the cardinal directions.
Architecture
Old wood and stone were used to built everything here, but despite their age they have not rotted or appear older than the day they were made. The main architectural style is that of the Ruschezian Colonial Age, which are very simplistic and practically built.
