Government
New Kavir is ruled by an aristocratic elective dictatorship in which nobles and recognized guild leaders vote for a candidate amongst themselves, any who run cannot vote and as such rule usually falls to one of the major aristocratic families of either Appleport , Hotport , Sylquester, Hammerbane or Knapmar
Defences
New Kavir has a curtain wall surrounding the perimeter as well as the Brimstone Fortress as in inner redoubt. The town has a standing army of 1000 men and a rotating militia of 8000. This is complemented by a garrison of 4500 men from the Order of the Nine
Industry & Trade
If the blood of New Kavir is the river then it's heart is the artisans who utilize the kinetic energy from the great watermills to masterfully craft weapons, jewelry, furniture and clothes. The wilds and nearby plains also gives the town access to many a rare beast and their produce ranging from horns to alchemical ingrediants.
Infrastructure
The cities river provides a complex system of watermills to create kinetic energy throughout the town which is stored in a system of weights and gears or consumed immediately by workshops and grain mills. Along with this the city boasts an impressive sewer network for its size.
Districts
The city is divided by a set of codified districts which dynamically move and shift based on the ruling nobles influence and alliances. There is an unspoken agreement that each Noble family is responsible for taxes, policing and maintenance within their districts which forms pseudo mini towns within the settlement.
Appleport
Appleport is one of the oldest districts within New Kavir and traces its history back to the original founding. This distric is home to fisheries, canneries, taverns, docks and civilian dockyards. It is ruled over by the Appleport noble familyHotport
Hotport is the only district that rivals Appleport in terms of history. This district contains barracks, training grounds, military wharfs, blacksmiths, fletchers and artists studios. It is ruled over by the Hotport noble familyUpper District
The Upper District is the most affluent district in New Kavir it is home to the Market of Accords, Lavish Taverns, Banquet Halls, laboratories and the Embassy for the Order of the 9. It is ruled by the Knapmar noble familySouth Road
The South Road comprises of butchers, taverns, tanners, stables and the Adventurers Guild. It is ruled over by the Sylquester noble familyNew Side
New Side is home to tooling workshops, taverns, jewelers, construction yards, warehouses and the Temple "The Sect of the Seven". New Side is ruled over by the Hammerbane noble familySmokehill
Smokehill is an exterior district of New Kavir and consists of taverns and the pyres where the towns dead are sent to be cleansed in fire. The district is ruled over by the Remcoll minor noble familyEast Ward

History
New Kavir was originally a small campsite for an expedition to explore Pharasma's End lead by Axus Hotport . As news of land roaming with beautiful and rare beasts masking an ancient dwarven civilization grew, as did the number of hunters, archeologists and adventurers travelling to the island trailed by master merchant Sebastion Appleport , selling supplies and weapons as well as chartering maps to then sell eventually sprawled into the city known as New Kavir.
