New Bourbon

Mortal History:
Once called New Orleans, the city was informally renamed by its governor due to it being a key point in the sale of illegal alcohol during Prohibition, especially Moonshine and Rum from Cuba. Its history is secular, having been founded by French settlers in the 17th century, making it an important port for the French colonies in the Americas, including the slave trade. During the early 19th century, it was purchased by the Americans along with the rest of the French possessions. Its long history continues during the Civil War, having been one of the few cities that withstood General Ulysses S. Grant's Total War campaign, but that would all change in the next century. Due to its strategic position, the city was used as a hub for illegal liquor trafficking during Prohibition, earning its new name, New Bourbon, until today the city is known for its culture, its jazz and its exotic air.

The City is subdivided into ten districts, all with their own subculture and attractiveness. On the south side you have the Bayou Fantom, a swampland filled with wildlife and small communities of locals, mostly of haitian descent. River Row and Southdowns are both blue collar neighborhoods, filled with working class men and women, and small houses and buildings.

Supernatural History:
Since its founding, supernatural beings have had a presence in New Bourbon City, with both the Camarilla and Sabbat competing for it tooth and nail. With recent events, the Sabbat has left the city, but some pockets still persist, while the Camarilla has not completely dominated the city, having now to make do with both the Anarchs and Clan Hecata, which has always had a large presence within the city. of the city. The current prince, the Toreador Joseph-Agustin, decided to make the city a "Free Haven", with anyone welcome, which he had to ask the Hecata for permission before it is not disclosed, and the city has flourished ever since. But not all is rosy, with increasing rumors that Joseph-Agustin has grown paranoid and despotic, demanding ever more extravagant gifts annually from his subjects. No one knows when it will burst for good. While Werewolves have quite a notable presence for a city, with both Bone Gnawers and Glass Walkers having strong presences there, even though both were hit by Katrina in 2005. The Rodents stands by the Bayou, fighting the Samedi and their Hecata allies, while the Walkers dispute the noble district with the Toreador and Ventrue. New Bourbon is also a city surrounded by ghosts, both through the bloody centuries and with Katrina, which took so many lives, making it a place where the Veil is quite thin.

After the Katrina Hurricane passed, wreaking havoc all across Louisiana, a Preacher appears on the scene in New Bourbon. Joshua Chole, a pastor from the neon city, claims he was resurrected after drowning in the havoc Katrina brought to the city. The man claims he drowned, but was brought back by God himself, to act as his hand on the world, cleaning the city of all enemies of Man. Shortly after, he founded the Union Congregation, building a church, called New Eden, deep in the Bayou, and began to direct his followers and recruit new members. Ever since he rose from the dead, Joshua has directed his followers to strike out against the enemies of Man, the creatures of the Night and all manner of Fiend. Many businesses controlled by Vampires, be the Camarilla or otherwise, have been attacked by Hunter squads, either firebombing or shooting up the place. There have also been an increasing number of desesperances of Ghouls, Kindred and even Garou themselves, which the Prince suspects are the result of Killer teams of Hunters, which have increased their attacks.
