Iron Cross
Significance
Objectively, they're just wraut metal iron bent into the shape of a cross. Later stamped, more recent ones have a silver lining. They are treasured by those who have had them awarded though. They are presented to soldiers and civil servicemen who have demonstrated valour and distinction at personal risk. They come in tiers for successive awards, later levels only being awarded for conspicuous gallantry. An Iron Cross, corroborated with the official listing, also signifies induction into the Nobility of Weinkauf. Traditionally an exclusive club of the landed elite.
