Glenn

Glenn was a young man of humble beginnings, born and raised in a small town where his family owned a shoe maker shop. Despite their poverty, he never let it dampen his spirits or his boundless curiosity. From a young age, he had a fascination with tinkering and deconstructing anything he could get his hands on, always looking for ways to improve upon them.   As he grew older, his passion for invention only deepened. He spent every spare moment in his workshop, experimenting with new ideas and concepts. And eventually, his hard work paid off. He developed a prototype that could harness the power of magical energy and recharge jewelry from the arcane artificers, a revolutionary invention that could change the world.   But his assistant warned him that the prototype was still too unstable and dangerous to show to the public, and urged him to continue working to make it safer. Glenn, however, was determined to share his creation with the world, and ignored his assistant's warnings. After living his whole life in the shadow he yearned for the spotlight.   During a public demonstration, the orb that Glenn had created exploded, killing a child. Though devastated by the accident, Glenn's invention caught the attention of the royal guard, who saw its potential as a powerful weapon. They entered a partnership to mass-produce the orb, and Glenn became incredibly wealthy.   But as the orbs were used as deadly grenades on the battlefield, Glenn was plagued with guilt and regret. He knew that his invention was responsible for taking innocent lives, and the weight of that knowledge was heavy on his conscience. He tried to make amends by using his wealth to support humanitarian projects, but the guilt never fully left him. Despite his success, Glenn was a tormented soul, haunted by the consequences of his actions.

Early Life

As a child, Glenn was always curious and eager to learn. Growing up in the shoe maker shop, he would often watch his parents work and would ask them questions about how things were made and how they could be improved. His parents encouraged his curiosity, and would often give him scraps of leather and other materials to tinker with.

Despite the family's financial struggles, Glenn's parents made sure to provide him with a good education. They recognized that their son had a special talent for invention and wanted to nurture it. They would save up money to buy books for him, and Glenn would spend hours pouring over them, learning about the workings of physics and the principles of magic. He was often teased by other kids in the neighborhood for being different, they called him "weird" and "nerd" but he never let that get to him. He knew that his passion for invention would take him places they could never imagine.

Glenn's love for invention extended beyond the workshop. He would often take apart and fix broken toys and trinkets for other grown ups in the neighborhood, earning him the nickname "the toy doctor". This earned him respect and admiration from the kids, and they started to see him in a different light. Despite the challenges he faced, Glenn never lost sight of his dream of becoming an inventor. He knew that one day, his creations would change the world.

The Demonstration

The day of the demonstration was a momentous occasion for Glenn. He had spent months preparing his prototype and he was eager to show the world what he had accomplished. He attended an inventors convention in Thorn, tons of people went to this convention to witness the creations of the future.
As he began the demonstration, the excitement in the air was palpable. Everyone was eager to see the orb in action. Glenn explained the principles behind his invention and how it harnessed the power of magical energy as some kind of battery. Then, with great fanfare, he activated the orb. But something went horribly wrong. Instead of recharging the ring of power as intended, the orb exploded in a fiery blast, sending shrapnel flying in all directions. One child was killed and several others were injured. The stands were filled with chaos and screams as people rushed to help the wounded.

Glenn was in shock and devastated by the accident. He couldn't believe that something he had worked so hard on had caused such destruction. But amidst the chaos, one person saw potential in Glenn's invention as weapon. He was a representative of the royal guard, and he quickly realized that the orb had the potential to be used as a powerful grenade. He entered a partnershipo to mass-produce the orb, and Glenn became incredibly wealthy. He was rich beyond his wildest imagination, but the guilt of the accident and the knowledge that his invention was being used to kill people, weighed heavily on him.
