Jade Forest

The forest that the big starting city of New Dawn is the middle of. The forest is named after the "Cities of Jade" the wood elves and Dwarves used to live in. The forest overgrew starting nearly 100 years ago at an immense speed, cutting off all trade routes and trapping people in New Dawn.

Geography

The jade forest has a large river running through it, passing right through the city of New Dawn. The majority of the forest is overgrown, leaving much of the underbrush a darker hue. Light comes down in small patches where the leaves thin.

Fauna & Flora

The majority of the animals in this forest are pretty standard woodland beings that many in the city of New Dawn hunt for food. Many trees are pine, birch and oak and a lot of the floor of the forest is perpetually covered in leaves and needles no matter the season. A few bushes pop up here and there with sour red berries the small animals snack on. Then during Spring, right after any snow melts berry vines grow on the trees and color the forest in reds and blues.
