Shades

Unnatural, unmoving, unyielding. The Shades are a summoned spirit of vengeance, developed for a sole purpose that it will pursue through out its brief life span.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Shades are completely made of shadow and the force of which they were made. Direct sunlight will kill one instantly (including the daylight spell)

Genetics and Reproduction

they are a magical construct, created using old magics. The ink for its spells is written in shadow heart.

Average Intelligence

That of a clever human, they're capable of deep understanding of people, environment, etc. but are quite unskilled in emotions (though they are known to have them in rare cases)

Naming Traditions

Despite having no culture or free will to speak of, Shades have names. They're hard to say with lots of smooth sounds with hard stops.

Common Myths and Legends

The first shade was created by the Ka people, developed as a way for them to bring death to their enemies while still maintaining a friendly, diplomatic relationship with the tribe. At first they wild, after killing their intended target they would kill their summoner or just fleeing, never to be seen again. But they were tamed when Nerru lent her hand of control on the spell.
