Rowan

Rowan

As a child her village was overrun and destroyed by an mysterious Lich that laid waist to her home with the help of undead servant. It is still under a dark veil to this day, as no dryad or human will walk into its infected lands. Even the Woodlaid Tower lays broken and infected and black by the Lich's influence.   The Dryads of Verdenhall took her in, however, they kept her at a distant. Many of them viewed themselves as distant mothers to Rowan. For they knew she had a purpose in this world, for many believed her to be of a divine order of beings. Not many can survive the union between Aethrandi and Overene.   Thealandrin - the Aethrandi people who lived in the Eldernwood. Her mother was in the line of Alara Solair, antlers and white hair. Thought to be of the High Mark of Thealandin with her intricate antlers. Many of the Elderbeasts were familiars of the Aethrandi here. Her father was brought in for his infernal blood, then of the Overene, the damned, as a prisoner. He was supposed to be sacrificed to Daeux, the goddess of the wood as they believed themselves to be the protectors of her life. They destroy corruption whereever it festers.   However, Owana saw goodness in Amon's heart. She let him live that day to the horror of the people. She was forced to lock him away in the undercrofts, yet she saw him time and time again, thinking it strange that she would be infatuated with him. After all, he was an infernal. Yet, she grew to love him and one day, she brought him to her palace room and bed him. She was with child after this. A baby girl.   Her father was strung up as a seducer and set to be killed for deflowering the Matriarch of their people. Yet, when they brought Amon to the Pool of Souls (the moonlit pool, given life by the Auramere) the goddess laid bare her will for them to spare his life. The Eldenbeast came to protect him. He was then one of the people and Owana took him as her husband, though he had little power. Their spawn was protected for the time being until she hit puberty. After that, she began to elicit symptoms, yet she didn't now know it at the time. For she was a Welkin.   It wasn't long after that the Lich known as Erelle Sachor invaded the wood, having sense the presence of a power beyond him. He wished to find that being and to control it, and then to suck out its life force so that he may have it for his own.   The people knew that it must have been her power that drew such a creature, so Owana and Amon gave her up to the Dryad's to protect her. They stole her away from the danger using the trees as ways of passage, and took her deep into the Eldernwood to Ederes (the Hallowed Grove). There they forged a sigil binding magic band that would contain her powers and suppress her powers.     Thought he was of good heart and quickly won over
