Lorellian Fashion

Lorellian fashion follows many loose rules, all of which, when combined, result in a distinct style reflecting Lorelle's semi-isolated culture.
Most outfits have a layered look to them. The inmost layer is made up of a pair of leggings or slacks and a fitted tunic with either short or no sleeves.  These are usually made from cotton or linen merged with lyniettie cloth, so they serve both a purpose of comfort and modesty.  The leggings can range from mid-thigh length to ankle-length and are intended to provide covering from below, since using a transport bubble would otherwise result in a view of the user's undergarments.
The next layer may consist of a longer-sleeved tunic, loose pants, a tunic reaching the mid-thigh or below, or a padded armor layer, on men or women. Women may also wear a skirt that can vary in length similarly to the leggings; a full dress or tunic, sleeveless or with sleeves that range from just below the shoulder to just past the elbow; or a fitted robe. All of these options will most often include pockets, designed to hold lyniettie juice bottles and lyniettie bubble wands, and if they do not, they will have a matching sash with similar pockets.
Further outer layers usually include sheer tops which can have full-length sleeves, overskirts -- one or several, usually sheer; decorative dress jackets, and cloaks, which can be used as armor or for a functional, all-purpose covering.
Clothing in Lorelle usually incorporates Lyniettie Cloth in one way or another, since it is an abundant resource and easy to repair.  Because of this, most clothing comes in colors dictated by the type of lyniettie juice it was made with. Common colors include gold, green, teal, cyan, pink, midnight blue, purple, gray, orange, yellow, white, and ivory.

Armor

Lyniettie cloaks and padded armor are usually created by the person intending to make them, unless they are meant to be purely decorative, as some nobles may want the appearance of armor without having to make and repair it. Any item made with Lyniettie Cloth and used by the same person as who made it can be used as armor, although most people who intend to create armor use a mix of lyniettie juice which contains a stronger or more shadowwort resistant strain. Seamstresses and clothiers usually prefer not to wear armor-like lyniettie clothing, so they will create clothing for each other to wear and exchange it.
