The Bear Clan

D&D 5E

STANDARD RACIAL TRAITS
  • Ability Score Modifiers: +1 Strength, +2 Wisdom. OR choose one of (a) Any +2, any other +1 or (b) Any +1, any other +1, any other +1.
  • Size: Medium
  • Speed: 30 Feet
  • Bear Paws: Your paws are natural weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you can deal slashing damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier, instead of the bludgeoning damage normal for an unarmed strike.
  • Attuned to the Wild: You have proficiency in the Survival skill.
  • Mage of the Wild: You know the Druidcraft cantrip.

  • Starting at 3rd level, you can cast the Goodberry spell with this trait. Starting at 5th level you can cast the Borrowed Knowledge spell with this trait. Once you cast Goodberry or Borrowed Knowledge with this trait, you can't cast that spell with it again until you finish a long rest. You can also cast either of those spells with spell slots you have of an appropriate level.

Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells when you cast them with this trait, which you choose when you select this race.
  • Spirit of the Wild: You have the ability to communicate in a limited manner with Beasts, Plants, and vegetation. They can understand the meaning of your words, though you have no special ability to understand them in return. You have advantage on all Charisma checks you make to influence them.
  • Languages: You begin play speaking, reading, and writing Common and one language in which you were raised, which for the Bear Clan is typically Moksha. You may, if desired, choose one bonus language that you and your DM agree is appropriate.
