Tcharnovog

Tcharnovog is a land of muddy grasslands, dark forests, and sheer rock cliffs. The majority of the people in the kingdom are simple peasants who live a simple life farming for their Boyar lords, who in turn are ruled by an iron fisted Tsar. The peasants live, work, pray, and die in the same village they were born in, and very few ever have an opportunity to achieve greatness above their station. Every peasant boy dreams of serving in the Grand Army of the Cossacks, elite soldiers personally loyal to the Tsar, which is the only way to escape the poverty of their birth. There are dark rumours about the deep forests of Tcharnovog, where wild things are said to roam. Bestial men, men driven wild by the full moon, rule in these lands. Skinwalkers and changelings take the shape of animals and cast dark curses on their victims. Only the bravest, most experienced hunters dare travel from village to village hunting these abominations for the protection of the realm. These hunters are some of the most exalted people in all of Tcharnovog, some even gaining the ear of the Tsar himself.

Worship

The people of Tcharnovog are deeply spiritual and religious people. They worship the ringing of bells and pray to the sibling gods Kostromo and Kostroma who wear bells in their hair and birthed the world with their dance. It is custom for many in the realm, from fine warriors to fair maidens, to weave bells into their hair and long beards.
