Sanctuary

Little is known about Sanctuary, except that it is home to strange plant people they call the Deku and the Firbolg and Pixies that tend to the animals and plants of the forest. Legends tell of a wise old tree named King Bark that reigns over this land, and he was given life by the unknowable essence of the forest itself.
Sanctuary is also home to many savage beasts, including primordial Thunder Lizards, and extremely difficult terrain. Very few people have ever entered into the interior of Sanctuary and fewer still have ever returned. Those that have are often made simple minded, and utter strange nonsense words some have deciphered to be a warning of some ancient God living in and protecting those timeless woods.
