Rosewood Phantom

Description

This spectre roams throughout the slums of cities at night, seeking out the low lives of the streets as prey.
The spectre commonly appears as a thin humanoid clothed in tattered rags with strips of fabric barely hanging onto their body. Their moonlight grey skin is rather dark and hard to see without light, but the eyes are a pale blue that faintly glows. This glow is just enough to obscure the face when viewed in darkness. As the spectre walks around, it drags its feet around, and the sound of skin being sanded down by the ground is faintly heard through the winds of the night.
In combat, the strategy for the spectre is to wear down its target's stamina. It will endure every hit, reacting to each blow almost in exaggeration, but then continue on as if nothing had happened no matter how beaten or bloodied the spectre is. When its prey is on its last legs, the spectre will use a variety of wisdom based attacks, with the goal of mentally breaking its opponent. If the spectre is near death it will attempt to drive their attacker insane or cause a form of mental trauma. if an opportunity to flee is available, it will take it. When confronted with fleeing or inflicting trauma, the spectre will choose the latter.
This spectre is born from the agony of a conflicted individual. If one is confused about their own emotions due to a situation in their life for too long, the spectre will manifest and haunt the area until the one who caused its creation dies or resolves their conflict.

Name

Rosewood Phantom originates from the Rosewood tree which grows in the eastern jungles. This tree was used in rituals by ancient tribes to hallucinate and meditate on struggles in their lives.
