Sweating Plague

Sweating Plague pandemics strikes the world. This previously unknown disease spreads especially through the hotter and more humid parts of the world, claiming ninety million victims in India, Indiochina, Africa and South America. Despite being caused by bacteria, it turns out utterly impervious to all types of antibiotics.   This is merely a singular, most striking case of aquired antibiotic resistance. By the 2040 the resurgence of a number of diseases like the tuberculosis, plague or cholera is a fact, worldwide. Even leprosy is undergoing a resurgence, including areas like Europe. The height of this process is reached at 2046 where the worldwide average life expectancy fell all the way down to 55 years - in countries seen as first world. It then began to quickly improve due to boom on biotechnology caused by the post-Green Crash economic expansion.
