Synthesis MAW

The so called synthesis MAW is a type of archeotech weaponry that is encountered quite oftenly, and thus can be often encountered upon ships of both notable navies and in certain private hands. What's interesting, is that barrel and the whole magnetic propulsions system is relatively similar to what's used by civilizations of today. Synthmaws specialty lies in quite 'extensive' ammunition chamber.


There a true magic happens. Synthetic MAWs in some unexplained way synthesizes an ultradense particles, forming a penetrative warhead atop specially formed ammunition that enters the chamber. It does so extremely efficiently – with lose of fire rate surprisingly small, the synthmaws firing only ~half as fast as similar size human MAW – extremely increasing penetrative qualities of the launched projectiles.


While the loss of fire rate means they aren't really useful as AV weaponry, it makes even medium calibre MAW a weapon to reckon with, capable of piercing (or at least scratching – even dreadnough armour, albeit with limited damage.
