Personal history

I grew up with my Mother and my older half brother. My brother's father died in the war and shortly after my mother met my Fire Genasi father. After I was born my father left as well and we have not heard from him since. During a party at Daelar keep we were attacked and separated from my older brother. I left my mother to search for him but only found his crystal pendant on the floor, which I now keep around my neck at all times. It was at this time I realized I was surrounded by filthy humans with no escape and no training. One of the humans swung his fist into my face sending me falling into an already half broken window, the glass slicing the side of my face near my eye. My head was spinning and I felt as though I was floating on the edge of consciousness before a heat rose from within my core and expanded out. The humans dissipated in clouds of smoke as the walls crumbled and the floor cracked beneath my feet. I was told it was several days later when I woke up that there had still need no sign of my brother and that my Sorcerer powers had manifest in the destructive act of destroying half the keep and all that were left inside. I convinced my mother to bribe my way into the academy to learn to control my new powers so I will be able to track down my bother and bring him home.
