Mid-Frettyne

The Olthicans celebrate the spring equinox as Mid-Frettyne, and this tradition has spread to some of their neighbors in the Key. At the very least, non-Olthicans come for the spectacle, as this is the most lavish of the Olthican seasonal holidays due to its connection with the end of the War of Bones.

Execution

On this day, Olthicans feast and play. There are horseback riding competitions throughout the country, including mounted archery, racing, mounted magic competitions, and obstacle challenges. After a day of games, every family brings their own servings of traditional lamb or calf marinated in a berry sauce with leafy greens and beer alongside for a street feast.
