Personal history
Corentin was born the youngest princess of Avelous, "daughter" of King Regis. When he was six years of age, the Kalen Conquerings began, sparking a patriotic fire in the citizens of Avelous. A year later, the Bored King of Kalen, not wishing to fight the well-reputed kingdom, decided instead on an alliance, so two marriages were arranged: one in a year between Cassian, crown prince of Kalen, and Regis's eldest daughter and Corentin's older sister Elodie, one in a decade between Cassian's brother Felix and Corentin himself.
Elodie was sent to Kalen to marry Cassian, and Corentin was sent to join her weeks later. He never turned up.
It turns out that he was kidnapped by a radical patriotic Avelous sorcerer by the name of Clay. The sorcerer took him to an orphanage in a remote town near the side where he would be raised and eventually transition into who he is.
