Half-elf is a term used to describe a being whose one parent is of elven ancestry. The ancestry of the other parent can be that of any other species, though the term is most widely used for individuals who are half-elf, half-human.

Facial characteristics
The ears of the half-elf are shorter than those of a pure elf, though still pointed. Other traits depend of course on the species of the other parent.
