Adventurer's Guild

The Adventurer's Guild is a conglomeration of four different organizations formed by the Nine. The running of the Adventurer's Guild is different from town to town; a small hamlet might have a small operation run out of the local tavern, larger settlements may have a dedicated building, or even several around the city.

Membership

Anyone can register as an Adventurer with the guild. Registering gives the user access to guild missions.

Missions

As a registered guild Adventurer, you can take jobs and missions from the guild. These jobs can cover a wide range of things, and the experts at the guild arrange them by rough difficulty. Jobs assessed to be particularly difficult may be assigned as specialty jobs (see Pacts). Multiple individuals or parties can take the same task, but only the person that first delivers the required proof to the guild will get the reward. Usually the reward is in coin, but there have been lands and even titles granted by some missions. While it is frowned upon, there is nothing in the guild bylaws that specifically outlaws conflict between Adventurers.   Posting a mission to the guild requires a deposit; usually 10% of the gold value of offered reward. This deposit is kept by the guild if the task is successful, but the mission can be canceled and the deposit returned provided no Adventurer has taken up the mission.

Good Standing and Additional Benefits

Registering with the Adventurer's Guild costs nothing. Being registered places you on the Guild roster and allows you to take Guild missions. An Adventurer that has completed a mission in the last year is considered in "Good Standing" and can pay dues for additional benefits.   Monetary aspects of benefit plans are paid per month (Liceva has 8 months of 45 days each if dues are owed, benefits are lost until the outstanding balance is paid.  Adventurers registered in a party of at least 3 members get a 10% discount on monetary dues.  Working directly for the guild (required for the Silver and Gold Plans) is non-adventuring tasks, such as administration, outreach, crafting, casting spells, or other similar downtime-style activities.  An individual may pay both monetary and Guild work in advance as far as they would like.

Pacts

The Adventurer's Guild is subdivided into four different Pacts, an individual is not required to join a Pact, but they can also join one, several, or all four of the Pacts. Pacts reflect a particular specialty of the Adventurer, and show they are adept at taking on that type of work. Jobs assessed as particularly difficult are often limited to members of particular Pacts, rather than merely registered members. Pacts tend to have their own internal culture and hierarchy.

Fhaard's Slayers

Slayers are focused on taking down dangerous threats to civilization, be they humanoid or monstrous.

Damrosil's Pathfinders

Pathfinders explore the forgotten parts of the realm, making maps and marking dangers for future travelers.

Wylund's Reclaimers

The dungeon delvers and tomb raiders, Reclaimers aim to recover lost artifacts and solve mysteries.

Nendor's Planewalkers

The rarest and most secretive Pact, Planewalkers are experts at both getting to and surviving the Inner and Outer Planes.
