Zeromorph

[STAND BY FOR THE ARRIVAL OF SHIMMERING ROPE.]

Zeromorph is an informal name for the alien form Zero can become thanks to Xenoexpression. Zeromorph is not a separate entity from Zero and should not be confused with The Proliferator or Nyx, who are indeed a separate entities who bare a resemblance to Zeromorph.

Causes

During her time at Cybil's academy, Zero came into contact with alien DNA. It is this DNA that she expressed, leading to this form. It's been tinkered with a little bit over time but remains mostly consistent.

Symptoms

Oh, it's bad.

Appearance

Where do I even begin?!

Tail

Zeromorph's tail has a spike on the end that can be used as both a stabbing weapon or as the end of a whip. The rest of the tail is dangerous too -- muscles within it can release additional blades along most of its length, like this weapon here. This can be "spring loaded" so the blades extend at a mere touch.

Mental

Zero's thinking is strongly affected in this form. Exactly how much varies — she could be anything from onnicidal to just... a bit odd.

Abilities

Zeromorph can levitate small objects, even if not touching them. The weight limit is about fifty pounds, so she cannot levitate herself. The mechanism appears to involve electromagnetism but is poorly understood. It is known that it originates not from her Xenomorph DNA but rather from an Arugia component, likely the Skyfin.   Zeromorph's wings can change how they reflect and refract light, allowing her to make patterns or words on them. If she covers herself in her wings, she can effectively turn invisible, but it is difficult for the rest of her body to do this. She usually does not have the power to launch herself into flight from the ground, but can tap into the strength of infected to make a mighty leap. The wings are large enough for her to glide.   She has gills, but they are not quite enough to handle her energy needs unless she is swimming slowly. While she cannot breathe in the vacuum of space, she has some resistance to its negative effects.   Zeromorph's tongue is more than five feet long, so she cannot speak normally. She uses telepathy instead. This telepathy is one-way, meaning that while she can speak to people, they cannot respond in the same manner. This ability can be abused to make psychic attacks   While her vision isn't great thanks to the visor, Zeromorph can detect the presence of other organisms. The exact mechanism is unknown but is thought to be a detection of organs functioning.

Limitations

Zeromorph's armor is not as strong as that of the silicon-based Xenomorph. There is simply not enough silicon in the average human body to make silicon armor. Therefore, Zeromorph's armor is instead based on the chitin of Necrophages, although it looks similar in design to that of a Xenomorph.   Zeromorph can lift multiple objects with telekinesis, but the net total weight cannot exceed about fifty pounds. On planets or moons with less gravity, she can lift more. In microgravity, her lifting potential is not infinite due to inertia.   My back of the envelope calculation is that she can exert a total of about 340 Newtons. f=ma and g=-9.8 m/s/s, so in order to float a 50 lb (23 kg) object, f=(23 kg)(9.8 m/s/s) = 225.4 Newtons. She needs to overcome inertia to actually move objects towards/away from her, not just float them. If she can move objects with an acceleration about half that of gravity, f=(23 kg)(4.9 m/s/s)=112.7 Newtons. This comes out to a total of 338.1 Newtons.

Treatment

If convinced to drop this form, Zero can change back to a human woman. However, doing so requires a great deal of energy.

Hosts & Carriers

Only Nyx, Zero, and the Proliferator have the DNA required to take on a form like this.
