Malik (a.k.a. Cipher)

Cipher is a relatively popular Mercer hailing from Los Angeles. Around the time Zero arrived in Los Caídos, he was the de facto leader of a superpack of lycans which covered much of LA. He remains well-known and well-liked amongst lycans, especially those who hail from Southern California.
His territory was LA, but his influence was even greater. He went to San Diego to help broker a peace deal of sorts between cachaemites and a San Diego superpack. By that time, cachaemites had largely been driven out of the city proper, but there was still violence in surrounding areas. This is what Cipher managed to quell through careful negotiation. This is not to say he is a pacifist. Cipher is responsible for single-handedly wiping out a group of cachaemites who rejected his deal and murdered any lycan they could find.
He tends to only speak when he has something important to say or is questioned. Although he is quiet, his imposing presence — he is over seven feet tall — makes him hard to ignore.

Cipher joined Zero in Dallas to help organize a commune there. He returned to Taqfleck with Watchdog after Zero's prison break. The two now live together along with Cipher's younger brother, Malcom.
