A matronial society, the tribe is lead by the Mother of the tribe who passes on the role to their eldest daughter upon their death.

History
The Conestoga have long stood as the guardians of the forests in the Duchy of Lancaster. When magic returned to the land, their ancestors decided to join forces with the spirits of the forest and protect it against the encroachment of city and machines. They prefer to use peaceful options when they have to, but they have been known to harm those who enter their forests with ill will towards them and the spirits.
Mythology & Lore
The Matrons of the tribe pass down their knowledge from one Matron to the next. When a matron dies, their staff is planted in the Forests of the Elders and part of the spirit remains in the forest. When a matron needs wisdom they will often meditate in the forest and will commune with their ancestors. That way they may use the gathered wisdom of all the Matrons.
Worship
They worship the spirits of the forest and their ancestors.
