Divine Status, Divine Realms, and Clerics

Every deity is able to own a divine realm, which is a plane of existence that acts as their home. A deity can only have one divine realm at a time.

Minor Deity

Every god begins their adult life as a minor deity.
A minor deity can claim a plane of existence as their divine realm, and can do so again without restriction. They cannot claim planes that contain life or undeath, and they cannot claim a plane that has already been claimed by another deity or pseudo-deity. They can alter the form of their realm with great strain.
Minor deities can not provide clerical power.

Major Deity

A minor deity can become a major deity if they have a large enough following. The exact number of followers needed is unknown, and seems to vary. These followers must be accepted by the deity. Once these criteria are met, the deity can create a heaven, which promotes them into being a major deity. A major deity cannot become a minor deity again.
A major deity can create a plane of existence. Planes of existence created in this way are known as heavens. Once a major deity creates a heaven, it becomes their divine realm. Major deities cannot create a new heaven until their current heaven is destroyed, stolen, or the deity otherwise loses ownership of their heaven. Major deities cannot claim planes to become their divine realms like a minor deity can. Major deities can alter the form of their realm at will, without expending effort.
Major deities can provide clerical power.

Pseudo-Deities

Pseudo-deities are not deities, but they are on roughly the same power level. Pseudo-deities do not have the same abilities as deities. They cannot provide clerical power, but they might be able to provide other abilities, such as warlock power.
