Arthur Ilvenar

An elf born in the suburbs of Eldalonde who managed to become a champion of light and subsequently hand of the king to Finorin, the king of the Heartlands. He is also the current hand of the elder one. He is a veteran of the second demonic war as well as the first and second great wars. He also fought in the third crusade and and is often seen as a symbol of Heartlander pride.

Arthur wields a sword called "justice" which he crafted and echanted himself at the isle of light before the everfire as a part of his studies. The sword proved to be highly effective and he kept the sword for himself and still uses it today. The sword is extremely powerful.

Early Life

Arthur was an elven citizen and firstborn son to a poor family, he managed to work deals with criminal gangs and profited a lot from his intelligence, he managed to pay off his fathers debt to the gangs and eventually joined one of them, but Arthur was quickly gaining respect with the gangs and their leaders didn't like it so one day he decided to get rid of him and tried to kill him. However when they came to his house he was not there, so they threatened to kill his family he came but they killed his family anyway. It was there were Arthurs powers would first reveal themselves as magic exploded from his body, destroying the house and killing everyone inside except him. After wasting so much power he fainted and the next place he woke up in was in a house with an old man with a brown cape. The old man was a champion of light and would proceed to take the young boy to the isle of light were he would be trained for several long decades.

Rise to Power

The elf passed all tests and exams with great results, his intellect and strategic mind quickly made him very influencial and rose through the ranks to become the hand of the elder one. In the year 984 the king of the Heartlands sent a request that Arthur return to the Heartlands to serve as hand of the king and outroot all enemies of the crown.

Millitary Campaigns

Arthur was present at the first and second great wars and lead the armies of the west to victory against the Shinotayaku Empire. He was also present at the second demonic war and also served the demons resounding defeats everywhere, winning battles left, right and center. But no matter how many battles he won the world would have fallen if not for the sacrifice of Grungrim. The Heartlands had been ravaged by the first and second crusades and requested help from their allies, as the Hellenist kingdoms had started to prepare for a third crusade. The Grindar tribes and the Avenas kingdom sent much needed millitary aid while Arthur took control of the united armies and smashed the disorganised crusaders at the battle of Visenburg which was quickly followed by the siege of Linea, the capital of the theocracy of Linea. The third crusade ended before it truly begun, with Hellenist forces being leaderless as the leader of the Hellenist faith, the Archus Magnus, had been imprisioned by their enemies and Linea was sacked. Disorganised attempts to invade the enemies of the Hellenist faith by the crusaders failed and soon the Archus Magnus was ransomed and the third crusade was over. This new victory gave the Heartlands new confidence and they banished the Hellenist inquisition from the Heartlands and forbade the practice of the religion. People now wait to see what will happen as relations with the faith grow ever worse.

Finding the Elder One

While in Eldalonde Arthur visited his granddaughter and realised that she had immense power in her, he spoke to her and asked her if she wanted to become a champion of light, of course the child had heard of the legends of these divine warriors of justice and wanted nothing more than to become one. Her parents were of course not convinced but after a bit of persuasion on Arthurs part they came to an agreement that she would go with him to the isle of light when she was mature. When she was eighteen years old Arthur trained her on the isle and soon the council of elders, under the leadership of Arthur would decide that she was destined to be the next elder one. After she was trained she was 25 years old and walked through the everfire.
