Lelya

Adrift in the the endless cosmic sea are realms that exist beside one another. Infinite in size and innumerable in variety, they are interconnected pieces of the same universe that move aimlessly in and out of one another, coming together and drifting apart like directionless clouds. One such realm is Clal, and within Clal orbiting a lone star sits the world of Lelya and her brother moon.   Lelya, a name so old that it has lost meaning to its inhabitants, is a world of constant strife and turmoil. From the beguiling Kingdom of Mazatle and the warring estates that vie for control of the continent of Dunya, to the bitter rivalry of the once unified Gatien and Zexian Empires in the ancient land of Zemlja. Even Lelya's history is one marred by the ebb and flow of domination and usurpation. Thousands of years before the current day a False Icon, one of the first true gods, had bent Lelya to its will. Yet before the Icon was the Black King, one who ruled all lands for millennia before disappearing.   Despite its history of warfare and colonization, the world still has many secrets to keep. In the skies above float the mysterious blackstone temples and castles known as the castrum. They hover silently over the earth, held aloft by no detectable magic, their gates never opening. On the ground below, the Pilgrim City of Isham strides atop the mammoth form of a golem the size of mountains. Races older than elves whisper rumors of creatures wrought from sickened gods of ages past that know only hunger and insanity.
