Color Puppetry

Color puppetry is a performative artform using Power of Light

Performance

Color puppetry is a very simple concept that any illuminate could perform, but to be truly masterful at the craft takes years of practice. Much like shadow puppetry, it involves hanging a sheet or screen in front of a light source and creating images by manipulating the light. Instead of merely using one's hands to block light and create shadow images, an illuminate is able to manipulate wavelengths of light to create colors and Reflect light to adjust the brightness of the image. This may be done in conjunction with music or storytelling, whether by the illuminate themself, a backup band, or a presenter.

In Culture

This form of art is most commonly used to entertain children, particularly in the north where illuminates are most common.    Those who specialize in color puppetry can perform in upscale theaters and dining establishments, creating mesmerizing performances on an elaborate scale.   Color puppetry is a common performance seen at festivals in Porcanda.
