Azure Glow Gallery

Azure Glow Gallery is a glass workshop located in southern Reisouth known for its yearly stained glass window displays.

Establishment

Azure Glow Gallery began as a simple glass workshop in 1138 by a group of aggregants, catering mostly to trinkets for tourists and educating young aggregants who were interested in glass making. It wasn't until a hurricane destroyed the southern wall of the workshop in 1173 that the famous wall of stained glass windows would be installed as part of the rebuilding process. A project of such magnitude had not been attempted by the small studio, but the success of the project would attract more tourism to the area. The increased tourism allowed for the workshop to expand their operation, including an expansive shop that overlooks the workshop and allows for a full view of the stained glass wall.

Annual Stained Glass Window Display

While the workshop sells glass pieces and offers tours and hands-on experiences to guests, it's most famous for its southern wall made of stained glass which is replaced every year. The master craftsmen of the studio spend an entire year designing and creating a stained glass display in the spirit of the craftsmen who rebuilt the workshop. For one week every summer the workshop is closed for the installation of the windows and is then revealed to the public at a special event where the windows in the previous year's display are auctioned off. Proceeds from the auction go to local education programs.
