Festerplains

A landscape covered in pulsating, glistening flesh, just West of the The Nether Fountain. A horrific sight to behold, as enormous structures of blood and bone rise from the ground, culminating in structures that seemingly have no purpose or reason to exist. The Festerplains are the breeding sites for carrion retrievers, who make their way to the ventrem balloons which spring up from the fleshy ground. The sole purpose of everything within this bizarre ecosystem seems to be to grow. It's speculated that the Festerplains were caused by the decaying body of the Cyclops, which is trying to regenerate itself in an extremely misguided manner (since its head has long since separated from its body). The Fetserplains' close proximity to the ocean as also resulted in the formation of the Bloodcoast Sea, home to a wide variety of undersea horrors and other aquatic nightmares.
