Deeptrigger

A scavenger cephalopod found at the sea floor. The Deeptrigger has 4 “limbs” each with two tentacles extending from them like long wriggly toes. Each tentacle also possesses a mouth at the crotch point where each two tentacles meet. Deeptriggers use these tentacles to crawl over waterlogged carcasses and slowly strip the flesh off of them.
Deeptriggers are eyeless, using specialized sensory organs to detect nutrients instead. However, They possess a pair of pointy horns with red markings on them that resemble eyes- sometimes divers are spooked by these mysterious red eyes staring at them from the depths! Seasoned divers aren’t scared by them at all- in fact, Deeptriggers are a popular street food in Sharkville, Icthy’s Rest, and many other coastal regions. They are often found in large groups, meaning they’re easily harvested. A mere hour of Deeptrigger collecting can supply a single street vendor with a week’s worth of food!
