Ailang

Ailang was located far up the Slingwhip River, acting as a major city in trade for travelers coming down the river from Crossroads Lake. Ailang was destroyed fairly recently in an event where the Songkram discovered that survivors of the Ganpoumi Fi were living there and being harbored by many of the city's residents. The Songkram moved quickly and without mercy, burning the entire city and killing off a large portion of what little remained of the Ganpoumi Fi. The survivors would travel to Fi Lo Hok where their temple would be built in secret and remain hidden in the sprawling natural environment.
It's estimated that over 2 million civilians were massacred by the Songkram, with the rest beaten and thrown into prisons or slave camps as punishment.
