Ludwag

High Sindaryn - The language that is associated with elves and drow, it spent centuries developing within the continent of Ludwag. It sounds like a sophisticated language, and is also complex to learn when it comes to reading and writing Ludwagian characters. Drow, although speaking the same language, have a more “defined” way of speaking it, as they have their own accent. High Sindaryn is used most commonly in the lands of the Silvic elves.   · Aridian - What some call the "refined" form of High Sindaryn. This language sounds and feels smooth, nimble and direct, Aridian and High Sindaryn speakers can mutually understand one another fairly well, having only a few words differentiating from one another.
  • Tallariic - The language of the Tallarii is a difficult one for many to understand, it derives from Aridian. Being referred to as Tallariic, its words are composed of harmonic hums of the throat and higher pitched accent tones to punctuate and to split words apart. Even native Aridian speakers would have a hard time understanding most aspects of the language.
· Meridian - An older form of High Sindaryn, it is used by Meridian elves and is very rare to be heard. It is more of a ceremonial language as small number of Meridian elves speak it. Meridian is described to sound very spiritual or compound.
  • Pyrian - This is the form of High Sindaryn whose grammar and lexicon was uniformly taught and enforced by Pyrosi law. It was extinct but suddenly reintroduced to Azura with the appearance of Amare, where it is most commonly spoken. It is at once both simplistic and archaic, having been enforced in Pyros to improve communication throughout the empire, but containing many words and grammar that may seem eccentric or pretentious to modern speakers of High Sindaryn. It is mutually intelligible to speakers of Silvic, Aridian, and Meridian dialects.
Monic - The most common language in Ludwag, it shares many similarities to Native Dormian, however historians have not been able to trace a proper connection between Dormia and the Mons. Over time, rapid Human expansion and the great Elven migration caused Monic across all of Latteras to become more common over High Sindaryn.
  • Nixian - A language deriving from Monic, but very distinct from it. It could be compared to the difference between modern day English and German.
Mitaunik Skreut - A dialect of the original Skreut; the language of the Remtar. It is extremely difficult for other races to learn Mitaunik Skreut as it utilizes an array of squeaks and chatters. Mitaunik Skreut differs from its original counterpart by utilizing more Nixian and Monic sounds. It isn't taught publically by non-Remtar, and would take a Remtar himself to teach a different race Mitaunik Skreut.   Impish - Languages spoken by the anomalous Imps found only in northern Ludwag, most predominantly on the eastern parts of the sub-continent. Impish is said to be comprised of a multitude of whistles, produced deep in their vocal chords.
