Arcenix

The Nix [demonyms: Nixian, Nixman] is the name which designates the people of Arcenix, who call the Southern mountains and taiga of North Ludwag their home. Most who belong to the Nix are humans, with a notable dwarven and remtar component. Once a collection of smaller extended clans, they were united under one title centuries ago, and have conglomerated to one identity ruled by their monarch.   History
Mons united.
C. 1740 AC - C. 1800 AC.
The clan “Nixa” would migrate along with the remaining members of the tribe of Mons, eventually arriving towards North Ludwag. It is here where conflict would immediately arise through the local populace, majority being Tescali locals along with other minorities in which lived on the land the Tescans titled “Tesca”. It would be a difficult path of destruction for both parties, however the desperation and will-power of the Mons would overcome the Tescans at the largest Tescan settlement they titled “Veta”.   The two clans.
C. 1801 AC. - C. 1805 AC.
At a devastating cost for the Mons, they lost their tribal leader and from it doubt began to arise, two clans in particular, the Lattern and Nixa held different views on what the fate of the Mons was to be, eventually the tension breaking within the recently captured village, where the mons fractured into separate factions. Eamon Nixa, would remain in the Village Veta as he now took ownership of the small community in which remained, another faction, Emerlich Lattern decided to capitalise on the victories in which the Mons held, and continued up north.   Eamon the Unifier.
C. 1805 AC. - 1847 AC.
It would be this reign, in which would place the foundations of what today is now known as Arcenix. Post fracture with their now northern mons, the village of Veta now renamed to “Veter” would become a safe haven for those within the Taiga, and even southern plains as an area where law remained. Eamon, agreed by all to be considered the new leader of Veter, held ambition in which he would later bring order to unite the now fractured taiga, in which was being held under multiple Clans.   In particular, Hrök “Strongarm” would begin to warmonger his way across the western area of the Taiga, dubbing it Hrök’s Land in his own sense of greed and ambition. To the south, Vladimir “Slava” a banished criminal from the Mons, would emerge to begin construction of a mighty fortress near the base of the southern mountains, most notable for raiding up north and capturing slaves to continue his constructions.   It would be five years into Eamons rule in which he began to enact his ambition. Throughout these five years he had built up a good reputation amongst the locals as Veter became the centre of the taiga in situations of a safe settlement, along with a trading centre of Ludwag. Eamon would bring forth a series of mighty warriors in which were immediately known for ferocity. Within the first five years, he had conquered the south and it was said Eamon executed Vladimir on the battlefield, after Vladimir’ slave forces turned against him. He would take the construction of the fortress, only finishing its foundations and dub it “Arcenix”, after himself.   It would be a few more years in which he then fought against Hrök, who had recently recruited a band of dark magic wielders to aid and plant fear into Eamons forces. Eamon, retaliated by hiring a mercenary band of magic wielders who proved quite effective in countering these individuals. Hrök would be eventually killed by his wife over what was suspected a murder plot in plan for a year or two, the forces surrendering to Eamon once he had marched on them.   What had followed this would be an era of peace, where the now united clans of Arcenix dubbed Eamon the “Zutvha” of the people of Arcenix. Hrök’s reputation would remain after his death, as it was not an honourable one, and the north western end of the taiga in which Hrök held would still be dubbed Hrök’s land in honor of him. The foundations in which Vladimir had placed, would be continued on by Eamon now with the united aid of the taiga. And at the end of his reign, the final brick would be placed.   On his deathbed, Eamon would give two more decisions as Zutvha before he passed away in his sleep. The first, would be to write a decree announcing an order of magic wielders to aid and protect against dark magic users. The second, as Eamon fathered no children, was to allow his Boyars, in this situation titled “Boyars Moot” to elect an individual amongst themselves to succeed Eamon. He would pass in his sleep at the age of seventy two. His name would be forever cemented in history as the great uniter of the southern mons, along with his clan name “Nixa” being the name of the now Arcenix.   Stanislaw Nagyúr “Dominix”.
1847 AC. - 1891 AC.
After the death of Eamon, his closest friend and ally Stanislaw would be elected amongst the Moot and took the title “Dominix”, translating to “Son of Nix” and along with this forced his clan to also adopt the title. This would officially solidify the traditions in which a member of the Moot would be elected amongst themselves, then titled “Dominix” for as long as the clan of the Zutvha reigns. However, he did not honor all of Eamons wishes, disbanding the order idea and hiding the decree to allow them to create the Order, now at this time remaining un-named.   Stanislaw would continue his time constructing Arcenix in his view, a view of an architectural genius. It would be him who reinforced the walls, previously drafted by Vladimir held many weakspots and opportunities to fail within a siege. Other examples of his work would be the grand hall in which the Dominix remained in, the church Stanislaw had promised to ensure the love of the people, and even brought fortifications along the north-western borders within Hrök’s land.   With this new church constructed within Arcenix, the church would move from Veter over, yet Veter still remained a holy village for the church, and many festivals would be held there. Other executive decisions revolving around the fate of Arcenix laid on the hands of Stanislaw. Up north, Latteras had recently begun to enforce what they dubbed “feudalism”. Stanislaw had his own approach to this, implementing a rent system in which did not solidify the land the individual worked on, such as with Lords and Barons. They would work the land for their own self benefit in sales, and paid an amount to their land-lord, who in return paid Arcenix.   Stanislaw would hold an early death when fending against northern raiders. It is noted that he had taken down five of them before being left to bleed out. He died at the age of sixty.   Rorik of Redfist.
1891 AC. - 1902 AC.
Rourik of Redfist, crowned Zutvha at the late age of seventy two was decorated as a hero of Arcenix for his time defending against the northern raids, and even spearheading a few himself, was placed without any prior preparation and was not able to adjust from the life of a military leader, to Zutvha of Arcenix. Through his first year, it was stated that he was constantly stressed, remaining in his halls as he attempted to adjust. However, it would be on his anniversary with Sofia Dominix which broke him. She had died peacefully in her sleep and this would see Rorik go down the road of drink, and feasts.   A few years into Rorik’s rule, a librarian in which Rorik had hired a week prior, had discovered an edict made by Eamon himself, stating that a band of paladins was to be made to aid in protecting against outside threats being mystical. Once Rorik was told of this, he would announce “The Order of Eamon”, One of the only actions in which the people had a positive opinion on.   Throughout a majority of his remainder time as Zutvha, he would hold grand festivals and feasts in which Rorik became gluttonous, unaware that his Boyars were laughing at him, rather than with. This binge drinking would catch up with him in 1901, in which he took ill to his bed. In a drunken state, Rorik announced his son, Regnar, to be his sole heir of Arcenix. The church, disliking the current Dominix to begin with due to Rorik’ gluttonous lifestyle and greed immediately pursued and planted pressure for Rorik to reconsider. Rorik however would only reinforce his edict further until he passed away three days later. His son succeeded him.   Regnar of Redfist.
1902 AC - 1903 AC.
When news of this reached the Nixian public, many were outraged at this egregious break in tradition. The town of Arcenix would be held in an iron fist, Regnar young within his twenties was raised a zealous Eranist. However, the rest of the Nix were more than outraged, and had already rallied their fighting men to overthrow the crown, spearheaded by Boyar Gustav Vaslo.   Riots occurred within Veter, eventually being taken under control of tradtionalists as the civil war had begun. Only one boyar stood with Regnar, Eric of Hrök, who unfortunately already mobilised a large number of levies for Regnar. However, after the atrocities Regnar had committed against the church within Arcenix, a minority would then desert due to their faith being persecuted against by a king who fought against tradition. However, a majority remained out of fear of tyranny.   Gustav Vaslo would successfully play a lightning war against the loyalists, holding their superior quality over their head in capturing supplies through ambush, capturing officers and pardoning levies whom had sided with Regnar and eventually the battle of Arcenix, where rather than be in a siege, Regnar decided to take his forces out lead by himself and Eric to push back and even attempt to end the “rebellion” once and for all.   On Eamons day, 1903 AC, the battle would commence. Both sides fought valiantly, Regnar reportedly taking out a whole squad by himself through sheer force, and as Gustav made his way towards the centre of the battlefield, he would clash blades with Regnar. The duel would be fierce between the pair, eventually unfortunately concluding with Gustav losing his left hand due to a blow from Regnar. A close ally to Gustav, Peter would step in and finish the now exhausted Regnar off, causing Eric to retreat with his forces back into Arcenix.   Gustav Vaslo “The Iron Guardian”.
1903 AC. - 1923 AC,
Gustav Vaslo would through swift luck and determination manage to recover from what otherwise would have been a fatal blow. It took Gustav months to recover, even having a notable fargram thaumaturge craft him a personal iron arm in which he held basic control over.   They would be pursued, and the gate had fallen by that evening, Regnars head would be planted on a spike. Eric however was never captured, and had reportedly escaped into the swamplands. The moot would be called, and Gustav Vaslo would be crowned the Zutvha of Arcenix. Gustav had many problems to deal with as Zutvha, as would be expected of a ruler post civil war. Gustav held fury over what had happened to his arm, and announced that all Redfist clan members would be hunted down and defeated. They would be later placed on pikes beside Regnar himself near the gates of Arcenix.   Gustav would ensure that no edict such as announcing your heir as Zutvha would occur again, along with other topics in which ensure corruption be routed out, such as the Church holding less influence within the duma, the leader of the Order holding no relation to those within the duma etc.   For Gustav’s will of protecting tradition, along with his iron arm, he would be titled “The Iron Guardian.” Yet despite the overall popular opinion of Gustav, there were minor insurgents that would occur throughout Arcenix, along with an increased raiding party from the swamplands, with rumors of the culprit behind both being Eric.   Gustav for the remainder of his life would see law and order restored to Arcenix, to ensure that corruption of the Moot would not occur again, that the legacy and traditions in which served Arcenix so well would remain. He would die at the age of fifty when he eventually died from an infection in the lungs.   Era of Solitude.
1910 AC. - 2308 AC.
Estimating to begin early within the rule of Gustav, Arcenix would enter an era of internal solitude as the Arcenix culture altered from a rowdy aggressive people, to a proud and private people. They would focus on clan, faith and home. It is within the Era of Solitude in which many of the great literature pieces of Arcenix would be documented, along with history of the previous Zutvha’ of Arcenix be documented accordingly. The Order would become a prestigious order in which outsiders hold no information on what is done within.   Notable Zutvha’s within the Era of solitude range from Boris the Mighty, whose philosophy and understanding of the law would plant Arcenix to hold record low crime levels, Yuri Slava, disinherited as heir to his clan Rostov would be a pious and kind Zutvha, giving the people a majority of what he earned from rent. Others criticise Yuri for this however, stating that at any moment Arcenix could have gone bankrupt. And the less favoured in history, Vesimir the Young, who at the young age of twenty three became Zutvha through one vote victory, was an explorer and soldier at heart. He would ensure Arcenix never be raided by outside foes through his sixty year reign, yet famine had hit the people as food priority was given to the military.   The Era of Solitude would conclude with the reign of Aleksander where three years into his reign, he was murdered by an unknown individual through Arson as Aleksander rested within a small hut in Veter post festival. And as the year 2312 dawns, Chestimir the Temperate would be elected Zutvha of Arcenix.   Chestimir the Temperate
2308 AC. - 2319 AC.
Chestimir the Temperate would be crowned the oldest Zutvha in Arcenix history, being fifty two years when he had entered as Zutvha. He held plans to spend his early days investigating who had caused the arson of Aleksander, along with keeping church relations positive, however his dreams would not be met as the Lattish came south. Within one month of Chestimir as Zutvha, he would be met with a strong force of Lattishmen, larger than any previous force assembled yet would strike the disorganised Nixians and cause devastating raids along the border.   Chestimir would attempt to take control of the situation himself, to show a force of strength to the public however due to the lack of military education Chestimir had received whilst young, he would plant the Arcenix military into a un-disciplined state, prioritising manpower to overwhelm the enemy over sheer organisation. This would hold only short term success for Chestimir, and he would retire to Arcenix once again as the public held a further negative opinion of him, giving authority of the military to his Boyari.   Two Boyari in particular, Ivan Zovakski, a renown individual noted for his aggressive tactics against the Lattish, being the bane of Caravans and soldiers alike for his decisiveness, and Oszkar Nemres, whose defense tactics could fend off an army if they were outnumbered three to one had become renown for being the might and shield of Arcenix throughout the raid period of north and south. However, behind closed doors Ivan and Oszkar despised the other. Oszkar disliked Ivan due to his aggressive and arrogant nature, and Ivan disliked Oszkar for his stuck up attitude towards others. This would result in a duel, in which Ivan won. Oszkar later retired that month.   The public outcry began to arise against Chestimir later, not due to him holding a bad rule, the economical situation within Arcenix was doing well excluding the raids, rather his indecisiveness against the Lattish raiding. The public had seen Ivan as a war hero, and Ivan knew this well. Chestimir however, attempted to broker a peace between the two nations, with no avail. It is one day after Eamons day, in which Chestimir had been seen dead. The report was he died from drinking too much, despite many believing Chestimir never touched a drop in his life.     Ivan “Warbear”
2319- 2340 AC.
Ivan became Zutvha in a landslide of the moot. Both the public had praised him for his ability to fight the Lattish up north, and the Boyari had voted him due to them themselves being intimidated by the power Ivan had wielded. Oszkar later spoke out on his time with Ivan up north, in an attempt to sway public opinion of Ivan. However, like the Arcenix tradition, if your pride was attacked, you duel to keep your honor. This time, Oszkar died in what was deemed an accident.   Once Ivan had become Zutvha, the Lattish raids seemed to have deteriorated as they had realised Chestimir was gone, and an aggressive individual who had the public behind him faced north in the name of justice. It would be Arcenix who raided north then. They would bring back spoils worth a quarter of what Arcenix earned monthly, which in itself was a feat not done before. However, unexpectedly Ivan remained reserved as Zutvha, planting newly appointed Boyari, who of course were former officers of Ivan to take control of the northern border, to use the same tactics Ivan had himself.   Ivan would spend the first ten years of his rule on the economic stability of Arcenix, and even improving it compared to Chestimir’s rule. He would prioritise local merchants, along with sending trade towards the other kingdoms of Ludwag, all excluding Latteras of course. He would lower the age of conscription to the age of fifteen down from seventeen, and even placed a high percentage of the tax of Arcenix towards said military, and the services in which aided the military, such as mines.   Once the plague had striked Latteras, Ivan would close the northern Border entirely, going as far as not allowing any outsider mons into Arcenix. Near the start of the outbreak in Latteras, Veter had become infected, and was thus closed for entry. Ivan would give the responsibility towards Boyar Bergfalk to handle this plague, and thus, the Nixian plague-watch was made. They were brutal, and it is rumored they had murdered all infected citizens, and threw their corpses back north where they belonged.   Last time Ivan would be seen publicly would be when himself, and a small host made their way to Aridam for diplomatic meetings. They would secure a small fort, however were driven out by the Barbarosi in which held control over the pyramid.   Months after this, Ivan disappeared. It is unsure where he went, many believed he had gone on a personal pilgrimage, however weeks passed, and no word came back. The Moot would be forced to elect a new Zutvha.   Vesimir the “Kreatin”
2340 AC. -> 2340 AC.
Vesimir would be elected Zutvha. Many had expected Aleksy to become Zutvha, however Vesimir won due to Boyar Bergfalk being absent from the Moot that day. Vesimir would be quick to blame Latteras for the disappearance of Ivan, as he quickly began to mobilise his troops. The Lattish, would do the same as they had become experienced with battle after their brief skirmish of the Houses and Crown.   Druzhinix Eric, newly appointed after the crowning of Vesimir, would announce a plan to begin construction of a mighty fortress at a strategic location up north to solidify the location. The fortress would be dubbed “Ivan” in honor of Ivan whom the public now accepted had passed away. The Lattish would freak out when witnessing this, mobilising their front even more than previously, constructing their own “Warshire” somewhat off of the border.   The first skirmish occurred when Vesimir ordered an offense into the Forest north east, against the advice of Eric, who still attempted to construct the fortifications. It would end in stalemate, as neither side had broken through the other. The Lattish, a month later, would siege the fort. Vesimir also would man this defense, however could not order his military efficiently, and allowed them to be bombarded by trebuchet without a single order. The Lattish stormed the fort effortlessly, and Vesimir was kidnapped by the Lattish. Eric would be noted to escape, however would not be seen by the Nixian public again.   With this humiliation, the Moot would elect to vote Vesimir out of Zutvha, and appoint Casimir, son of Ivan, to become the new Boyar in place of Vesimir.   Aleksy Voloshyn
2340 AC. -> ONGOING
Casimir’s appointment to being Boyar gave the public new found hope after Vesimir’s incompetence. In an attempt to return to when Ivan held a prosperous rule for the Nixians. However, Aleksy won the vote by one, and was now Zutvha of Arcenix. Aleksy would continue the fight, as he fortified Veter with trenches, walls etc. While Casimir planned on how to take the fort back. By now, many radicals within the military began to rise through the ranks. Some were even Aleksy’s children themselves.   It took a month for Casimir to plan this all in secret, and as night appeared, the plan was set. The disorganised Lattish would be bombarded by catapults, irritated by mhir’racks breath etc as the forces were to charge through three points. However, due bad luck it would be a stormy night and the accuracy of the catapults were off. This would result in Casimir’s forces charging through one front, only to barely lose and have to retreat.   The next morning, Aleksy would call Casimir to broker a peace with the Lattish. And terms were set. The terms were light on Arcenix, not even being considered a loss to many. However to others, it would only fuel their anger towards Latteras. Aleksy’s two children would spearhead the radical movement, even finding their way to becoming a part of the Duma. They would create authoritarian organisations such as the Usvojena, who only listened to the Zutvha’s word, along with economically isolating Arcenix from outsiders, both trade wise and border wise.   Tensions grew at large once they attempted to arrest the Boyar Casimir, who rallied the other Boyari in demand Aleksy stepped down. He did not, and was then thrown into jail. He would be let out unexpectedly a few days later, and would not continue the demand for Aleksy to step down for some reason. Many believe this is due to other worldly actions.   However, after this the two worked side by side to bring Arcenix back to what it was. And did so successfully. There was a minor debacle between Aleksy and the Church when they did not approve of his new wife, who eventually left due to public outcry. Aleksy’s rule continues as of the moment of this document.   Government and Law
The Nix system of government is somewhat of an amalgamation between a monarchy and an oligarchy. The government is headed by a Zutvha of the Nix, who is assisted and advised by four Boyari. These Boyari are typically drawn from old and respected families of the Nix, or have otherwise proved themselves worthy of their position; most often as war heroes. They retain their positions until their death, unless they are otherwise criminally ousted. After they have “retired,” the Zutvha will appoint their replacement themselves.   The Boyar’s Moot differentiates the Nix’s rulership from the dynastic monarchy of the Latish. Whenever a ruler of the Nix dies, the Boyari meet for the Moot in Arcenix to propose rulers and make their case. At the end, when it has been narrowed down to a few candidates, the boyars will cast their votes, which determine who will rule. The man or woman who is crowned will receive the clan title of “Dominix,” as will any other members of their family until their death. Their coronation is often celebrated with a feast, and/or tattooing ceremony.   Much of the Nix’s basic law is left up to common sense and the discretion of those enforcing it. Some basic examples include the confiscation of fingers or hands for theft, compensation to be paid to the offending party for accidental damages, flogging for assault, etcetera. Often, those who lack the means to pay for their crimes with physical recompense or coin are sentenced to grueling manual labor; this often amounts to the rough work of laboring in the Nixian mines.   Unlike the neighbours of Arcenix, the country gives far more freedoms towards it’s subjects. For example, feudalism is not enforced, tax and rent are collected from each citizen, which are expected to work in order to provide for their Clan, and Kingdom. Any clan holds the potential to become powerful, as for a majority of the clans, they are equal to one another.   The church holds much civilian influence within Arcenix, however as of late they hold less influence within the Duma, only holding a representative role to ensure the Church's interests are met by the Duma.   Culture
The Nix are a proud people, with varied long-standing traditions. One such tradition is the practice of body art. Like the conventional noble’s coat of arms, certain families retain their own traditional tattoo designs. Tattooing is also used to signify bonds of marriage, martial accomplishments, and occasionally as the mark of a criminal or exile. Less permanent body paint is also considered acceptable for Nix who are not old enough or lack the wealth required to receive a tattoo.   The Nix have a very family centric outlook on daily life and society, considering the Nix as a familial body in itself. This focus is exemplified in the traditional families of the old nobility, some of which can trace their lineage back to the first Mons that crossed the mountains of Ludwag. From the highest of the aristocracy to the lowest commoner, the Nix honor and take pride in their family traditions, and for any Nixian to bring dishonor to their family is greatly shamed. Notably, being considered part of a family is not always dependent upon blood relation.   In conjunction with this, Nixians often bear a great reverence of their ancestors; to the point of near-worship in some, though they are generally not actually worshipped. For the Nixfolk, polygamy is an accepted societal norm. It is considered normal for a man to have multiple wives, or vice versa, but some choose to wed only one person nonetheless. Marriage is an extravagant event for the Nix, as it symbolizes the joining of families as well as individuals.   In keeping with their pride in tradition, the Nix are often distrustful or disdainful of outsiders. While the Nix will kneel to a chieftain or king of their own, to kneel down to any foreigner is considered an affront to honor and tradition. As such, they are often perceived as cold and hostile to outsiders. A Nixman will often require a foreigner to prove themselves before gaining their respect or trust.   Economy
The Nix are not particularly wealthy, too far south to have access to the fertile farmlands of the Flumen Plains and without a sustainable source of timber for selling. The Nixian farms are largely for self-sustenance, with little harvest to spare for large-scale trade. The Nix do have control of the iron deposits present in the southern mountains, however. This access helps to foster excellent smiths, facilitating the Nix’s main export as iron and steel, in addition to the weapons, armor and tools their blacksmiths craft from it. The Arcenix lumber business holds a major influence within Arcenix, through its ability to provide work and services to Arcenix as a whole.   Language
Language: The Nix speak Nixian, descending from Monic, though now completely warped   "Tsicek chom" - Formal greetings   "Orvtzik" - Comrade/fellow   "Sendallim bzet?" - How goes it   "Boyar" - Governor/General   "Zutvha" - King   "Hikzhar" - Inn   "Mkrizi" - Pardon/Sorry   "Bardik chom" - Farewell/Goodbye   “Ti” - Yes   “Ne” - No   “Fhajiret” - Translates to ‘foreigner’, often used as an insult   “Yizzek” - Expression of dismay or vulgar verb, roughly translates to ‘fuck’   “Pziedic” - Vulgar noun, roughly translates to ‘whore’   “Nixskali” - Nixians   “Dominix” - Son of Nix, gender neutral.   “Slava” - Disinherited, or illegitimate in terms of clan relation. I.e, a Bastard.   “Domislava” - Son of a disinherited or illegitimate individual, gender neutral.   “Kreatin” - Moron   The general rule for plural nouns in Nixian is to either place an ‘i’ at the end of the noun. For example, the plural for Orvtzik would be Orvtziki.   Food
The Nixian diet typically consists of winter wheat bread, hearty soups and stews, various meats, cheese and dairy, and primarily vegetables. Fruits consist of rock-zefli, which are comparable to peaches in appearance, though they are gray in colour (black when rotten), and bitter in taste. Tikve are the second most common fruit variant consumed in Nixian lands, similar to a kiwi, though the flesh is maroon, and the flavour is sweet. Often used alongside vegetables, the winter bell is the equivalent to a bell pepper in I R L, though it is white when ripe, and sweet when ripe. Vegetables include: cabbage, beansprouts, winter peas, spinach, celery, a variant of what is known in real life as arugola, watercress, and cucumbers. Many meats are either locally hunted, or within small herds scattered throughout the taiga.   Lists: Fruits - Rock-zefli, Tikve, winter bell   Vegetables - Cabbage, beansprouts, winter peas, spinach, celery, arugula, watercress, cucumber   Dishes: Altbiensk - A stew consisting of wolf meat, bear meat, garlic, onion, parsely, cabbage, tikve, and salt. Typically provided to soldiers due to the availability of the ingredients, and quick preparation time.   Ervdaer - The most common dish of the Nix: salted wolf or bear jerky (the fat is used for candles before the drying process is initiated), winter bread, and a rock-zefli.   Mvakim - Another common stew consisting of wolf or bear testicles, ground parsley, spinach, diced onion, bean sprouts, winter bell, cave pils mushrooms, and watercress. Salt added for additional flavour.   Regional Groups Hrök’s Land region includes the Dalawmi group.   Dialect of Nixian: Dalawinsk, a very slurred and thick dialect of Nixian that is difficult for the rest of the Nixian territory inhabitants to understand, all vowels are pronounced differently and the dialect holds a few words that are specific only to the region.   Brief History: The Dalawmi settlers (a division of the monic settlers that separated from the Lattish monic groups) were led to the lands by the regional strongman dubbed Hrök. He was depicted locally as a pioneer, clutching the remains of a Tescan drow’s head and a deviant mace pointed forwards, symbolising the nature of progressing forward. Many Dalawmi claim to be descendants of Hrök, as it is noted he held multiple wives, unknown to this day.   Cultural facets: The Dalawmi culture is primarily centred around farming, fishing, and hunting for self-sustenance and provisions/logistical support to the military. Many Dalawmi Nixians abstain from military service to remain in the traditional occupations of their families, though they do have representative warriors. The consumption of alcohol during the winter in the Taiga whilst foot-racing on frozen lakes is a major tradition for the Dalawmi people. Despite this, Dalawmi are known for their dedication towards hard work, and are known to be prioritised by landlords who are hiring workers, due to this fact.   Features of the Group: Tannish/Darker skin, dark black-brownish hair (no blondies or pale white skins).   Rarrzixi Region: Includes the Rarrzixian regional group.   Dialect of Nixian: Rarrish, mild slurring and different grammatical rules, in which sentence structure includes placing each verb at the end of a sentence, and adjectives after nouns. It is often confusing to inhabitants of other areas, or foreigners that have attempted to learn base Nixian.   Brief History: The Rarrzixians were shepherded by the father of the first king (Zutvha Eamon the Unifier), dubbed Lev the Vanguard. Dividing themselves from the rest of the Southern-bound Monic groups, Lev’s followers pressed on into the harsh mountains. Lev successfully established civilisation in the most remote, savage territories of Ludwag, and means to progression.   Cultural Facets: Rarrzixian culture includes the ideals of honesty, honour, and being rather blunt to fellow Nixians. The Rarrzixians are the most pious regional group of the Nix, and devote the larger majority of their people to the military. The discernible trends of Rarrzixians have always been either military service, or working the mines. Rarrzixian folks gather for an annual celebration to pit drunken criminals against each other with oversized weapons (known as Bitrshev).   Features of the Group: Pale, white skin, blonde hair, and blue/green/gray eyes tend to be the most common features of the Rarrzixians, though there are a few scattered brunettes, as well as round-oval faces and hard, pointed noses (not large).   Szpalzi region includes the Szpalzskali group.   Dialect of Nixian: Szpalzki, a mild, comprehensible dialect of Nixian much like that of the Southern Englishmen and English.   Brief History: A majority of Nixians today derive from the Spzalzskali, the Spzalzskali were originally a division of the Rarrzixians that went their separate way, following Eamon down from the mountains to eventually locate in both Veter, and Arcenix. A few of the Szplazkali still hold their original identity partially within Veter, northern and eastern parts of the taiga. However a majority converted to the Nixian identity.   Cultural facets: The Spzalzskali, in the way of similarities in armour and knightly principles are much more comparable to that of the Lattish Reinfells, though not entirely in culture. Above most values, the Spzalzskali tend to prize modesty and acceptance as a collective, though that does not guarantee the entire region will act accordingly. Spzalzskali folk are either seen in the military or working trades, there is not one genuine preference for either, they face no dilemmas with dispersing amidst differing populations or changing residences. The Szpazlskali tend to be the most religiously oriented, whether that be Revynovahism or differing religions.   Features of the Group: Pale, white skin, blonde hair, and blue/green/gray eyes tend to be the most common features of the Szpalzskali, though there are a few scattered brunettes, as well as round-oval faces and hard, pointed noses (not large). If you wish for a Szpalzskali character, look up polish names and surnames for reference.
