A Draconic Homunculus originally hailing from D're, Driftwood was originally under the service of the mage Barnabus the Black. A high ranking member of D're society, working closely with the Magica Mechanicum. Eventually though Barnabus handed off the (at the time) unnamed Draconic Homunculus to a fellow researcher after discovering Driftwood was a subset of his species, one specifically designed to spy on and eventually murder its owner.

The researcher who ended up owning Driftwood looked to flee D're but was sadly killed during his travels, a band of adventurers coming upon Driftwood and capturing him. Selling him off to an exotic pets merchant, where he would stay for some time.

Eventually an adventurer called Clam the Quick came upon the store and bought Driftwood for an expensive price.

Since that initial encounter, Driftwood was given his new Erosian name and given a new lease on life by his new master who treated him more like a companion rather than an indentured servant. 

Now Driftwood is a successful chef aboard the Inkeri, feeding visitors and crew alike with skills that would usually be wasted on even a four star resteraunt.
