What We Know

The Fall took place as the Earth's magnetic poles reversed. The process took only half a century, but it stripped Earth of its protective magnetosphere, allowing the sun's electromagnetic radiation to irradiate the surface of the planet. Much of humanity's infrastructure was destroyed within the first few months, sending civilization spiraling into chaos. In the ensuing decades, radiation scoured the surface of the planet, causing rampant mutations, enormous forest fires, and other cataclysmic natural disasters. However, pockets of humanity and caches of tech survived from the World Before. And as the Earth's magnetosphere restored itself, the remnants of humanity and civilizations creations venture forth to reestablish themselves on the planet.
