Kingdom of Rivers
Structure
A feudal state ruled over by a King, traditionally of the House of Lazio.
The Kingdom consists of five duchies (each ruled over by a Duke or Duchess), as well as three principalities (including the principality of Lazio, held by the King himself, and the principality of Alkos, traditionally held by the crown prince / heir apparent).
Each Duchy, in turn, contains 10-15 baronies ruled over by barons and baronesses.
Further below them are Knights and Dames, commonly the lowest rank of nobility.
Cosmological Views
All gods are worshiped to some degree, but the semi-official state religion is the Octatheon:
Iomedae, Goddess of Valor, Rulership and Justice; mostly worshiped by Nobles; Queen of the Gods.
Erastil, God of farming, hunting and family; mostly worshiped by commoners
Torag, God of the Forge; mostly worshiped by tradespeople
Sarenrae, Goddess of the sun and healing; worshiped universally
Desna, Goddess of Dreams, Stars, travellers and luck; mostly worshiped by sailors and travelling merchants
Abadar, God of cities and wealth; mostly worshiped by merchants
Pharasma, Goddess of Fate, Birth and Death; her priests tend to be outsiders except when a burial needs performing or a newborn needs blessing, it is considered bad luck to mention her outside these circumstances
Gorum, God of Strength and War; worshiped by mercenaries and soldiers
Other neutral and good deities (Shelyn, Cayden Cailean, Irori, Nethys, Calistra) are acknowledged and sometimes worshiped but do not have the same standing.
Evil deities are not worshiped publicly although a few cults exist.
