The Church Vigilant
More than any other church, the church of Humar adheres to a strict sense of order and rightness. Law and duty are, to the church, the foundation of order. And perhaps because of Garrund’s parallel focus on duty, the church has adopted the region as their homeland in the perfect marriage of obligations.
The church of Humar, in synergistic alliance with Garrund, is the first line of defense against the lizardfolk enemies of Aleria. It is also the only line of defence the Empire has ever needed against Skarliax.
Practically, outside of a focus on battle readiness, the church preaches largely about civic duty. Extravagance is wastefulness, and wastefulness leads to defeat. The family unit is of utmost importance to this church, as well as the hierarchy within the family, because the family is the foundation of society. A weak family leads to a crumbling foundation that would invite defeat from the Empire’s enemies.
