New World

This vast, yet newly discovered portion of Landäria is dotted with islands and archipeligos. It is inhabited by many races (mostly homebrew). These races were peacful at one point, but war has broken out between the Old World and the New World. I would go into more detail about this war, but this article is about the New World, not about the war.
The elves live in a handful of islands towards the western edge of the New World, and they are entirely isolated from the rest of Landäria.
The orcs live in the Ithynn Archipeligo, which they call Kru'mü.
A lizard folk empire once dominated the Old World, but inner struggles and economic collapse caused it to fall apart. Now, it remains a shadow of its former glory, dominated by warlords squabbling amongst themselves. I'LL ADD MORE LATER

Geography

Archipeligos and island chains, mostly inhabited. Quite tropical and humid.

Ecosystem

Sea predators eat fish, and sea monsters eat ships. Land beasts eat smaller beasts or plants, and are hunted by the sentient races. Sentient races are about as close as they can be to the apex predator, although beasts often attack and eat careless travelers.

Ecosystem Cycles

Most life hibernates in the winter, creating a need to stockpile food even stronger than it would be normally.

Natural Resources

Many raw materials exist here; metals underground, edible plants and animals on the surface and under the sea, wood from the jungles, but most importantly, the energy required to perform magic abounds, much more so than in the Old World, giving the largest holder of land here an obvious military advantage. This drives much of the exploration done by Old World colonies.
